Not long now

Plans for the move are steam-rolling ahead so much so that there has been precious little time for blogging so here's just some highlights (where I happened to have the camera) of the last few weeks.
Gaylene gets stuck in!!!
Josh and Grace invited us around for a last Chinese meal. This time we agreed we would help with the cooking (its the best way to learn) of which we have photographic evidence below. As always, the food was FANGtastic!!

Sat 7th Wes and Adele treated us to a "farewell and thanks for the huge desk" breakfast at the Wimpy before we all headed of to Rob and Moira's wedding which was great. Sunday Gaylene and I headed to a Chalumna River for a final fishing expedition. Hopes were high that I would eventually shatter all previous records and actually catch a legal size grunter. After a cold afternoon in the boat, the fishing tally read something like this:

Blaasoppies x3

Baby barbel x2

Barbel spine into Walt's finger x1

Don't know which was worse, the cut finger or having to suck it to get the "poison out". Thanks for the "advice" JD!

Sat 14th saw our parents come up to EL to assist in moving some of our stuffs back to EL. G and I started the day with tea at sunrise on Nahoon and could ask but one question.... "why don't we do this more often?"

Proof that my wife actually is a morning person!

A huge thanks to the folks for all their efforts. You guys were great! Some pics of the stars below:

And after all the moving activities, Mrs Fyvie found time in PE for a quick nap on her salon bead (or is that a "sun bed") before heading back to EL for the last few days.

Busy busy busy

Another crazy non-stop weekend for the Fyvies. It went something like this:
Friday night: Play practice for the Witness (play we are in) / Braai at the Grahams / Housewarming for Adel.
Saturday: 7am run / shop for stuff / buy stuff / commence the house packing process / 3pm rendezvous at Nahoon corner.. too cold / Frieslands for coconut sugar cones / pool Frisbee at the Rautenbachs / Gardeners pull round for supper and chats.

Sunday: Church / move desk to Wesleys spot...sorrt for the short notice Wes / pack pack pack / music appreciation time at Al and Tess / pancake evening with Thompsons / collapse into bed.
Now need a holiday......

Yes, it would be cheaper than flying overseas but the seaworthiness of the craft is questionable.

The four little sausage rolls never stood a chance against the human eating machine that is MK!

That's me proving that those days with Arni in the gym were not wasted (how on earth was I actually expecting to catch that Frisbee?)

Is it a bird, is it a plane?......

And shot of the weekend goes to Jamo this super cool, focused, Mens Health cover page shot.
