The main purpose of the outing, other than to just enjoy being out, was to see the impact of the super high tides we've been having the last 2 weeks. Apparently a combination of the equinox, spring high and a cut-off low pressure system which caused a stormy sea, some seriously big waves hit the RSA coastline. The awesome clouds and lighting was beaut (as was my willing model of a wife.. the little black spot in pix below), so ended up taking more pix of sky than eroded dunes.
Anyway, the shape of the mouth have been quite drastically changed (much bigger) and the hummock dunes cut right back. Would have been cool to see it as it was happening.
And after that, it was off to work for both of us .... dow!
